Finally managed to source the alloys i wanted for the X5 - i was going to fit 22" rims to the car but was concerned about it looking too pimp my ride and non OEM and also the reduced ride quality etc - but i finally managed to source the exact wheels ive always loved on the E70 X5 and look just about perfect on the car;

They are 21" Genuine OEM V-Spoke 239 Style rims - 21 x 10 fronts and 21 x 11.5 rears with monster 325/30 tyres!! Ive got the wide arch extension kit fitted so they look and fit perfectly.

Ive also had the BMW Genuine OEM Aero bodykit fitted (front and rear) and ive also had the BMW Genuine OEM 4.8i Optic Oval Tailpipe kit fitted - which nicely finishes off the back end!! Car also has the Titanium Kidney Grilles which work well with the kit - but im considering replacing the grey/silver coloured "mesh" grilles with black so that the mesh "disappears" as i dont like the grey/silver look. Im also going to spray the red reflectors in the upper part of the rear bumper black to blend in with the bumper.

......Remap next me thinks!!!!

Looking pretty mean now. Looks a bit like a dragster on that first, side-on, shot; front pretty hunkered down. Which one have you got 3.0d I guess with one or two turbos???

Looking great now Stevie. I also have an E70 so some of the mods interest me, mine is an M Sport so not the aero kit but it looks good on yours and beefs up the SE models.

Are the exhaust tails just slide on tail pieces or larger? How much and did you buy from dealer?
Also where did you source the wheels, the 21s look great in my opinion, a bit bigger than most but not too pimp.

Have you read the threads on xdrivers.co.uk about stone chipping on the X5, mainly on the M Sports but large wheels are to blame so you may find issues. Might be worth doing a bit of plastic coating before you get problems.

Had the same wheels on my old X5 MSport. They did look good.

They were a dealer fit accesory and were around £2500 in 2008. The dealer took the 20" wheels that came on the car and gave me £1000 for them. I thought £1500 to change wasnt too bad.
