Had a tire wear through, need advice on new tires sizes
Driving today when the TPMS went off
Checked the front right tire and could hear the air coming out Limped home and took off all wheels to swap for the winters temporarily Inner shoulder of every tire is worn through (28,500 miles on the set) Replacement 19" re050a set costs 1500 currently Wouldn't mind the smoother ride with the non runflats but most don't offer stock 19" sizes QUESTION: Has anyone gone up in profile on the stock 19" wheels to fit other brands on your xi coupe? Specifically i'm looking to find out what are the issues with the OEM style 313 wheels and 225/40R19 and 255/35R19 on the e92 xi. |

is your uneven tread wear not an alignment issue ?

Any thoughts on new tire sizes though? I'm stuck with a three sided problem. I need matched rolling diameters that fit on 8" fronts and 9" rears that don't rub inside or out on the xi coupe. Looking for any forum experience on stock suspension??? |

I'm sure you guys all know buying tires for the xi isn't as simple as what fits the wheels so I was looking for some specific AWD advice. Seems like everyone is pointing to bad toe angles, but I still need to figure out which wheels to get next! Oh yeah and a good alignment shop in the Philly area. Thanks for the contact info! |

Any idea how this is happening? Do you have the recommended suspension angles for our cars? Might help me sniff out BS if i hear otherwise. Thanks for the info!

Most likely due to hitting a pothole, that's how most misalignment's start ! Shop doing your alignment will have specs on correct numbers for your specific car and bring your car back into that range.... I got mine done last month, my rear wheel was off quiet a bit. |

Sizes: What you were using before, or 235/35/19 and 265/30/19.
Alignment: AWD shouldn't have ANY toe out. My car was aligned with 3/32 total toe in front and rear. Your car can be coming out of alignment from any number of reasons--poor install, bad previous alignment, potholes/road debris. Bottom line, get your alignment redone before you drop coin on new tires. Make sure you see the alignment report before you leave the shop. |
