Need a new headlight?

Hey guys,
I found a 06 330i finally after 3 months of searching. The only thing I could really find wrong with it is the passenger side headlight lens. I've searched on here and the Internet but I'm not really finding what I need. The lens has kind of a crackled look to it like it was heated or something. What do I do with that? I found a BMW replacement for 1000 bucks...that's not gunna work. It has adaptive lights, I'm not sure what to do? If I get a new assembly does that remove the adaptive lights and replace it with normal halogens? Need help quick thanks.

I have a set of lenses if you want them. They require a bit of work to replace.

My advise....if you are into modding and want to mod the headlights, buy my lenses, and send your headlights to OSS. They fit custom rings and can swap the lenses for you. Will run you about $700 but you will have a custom set of headlights that will constantly turn heads.

Or you can DIY. Send me a pm and I can walk you through it.

And to answer your question, you can get a replacement bi-xenon headlight and swap it in. It will need to be programmed and coded...if it is used, just coded. It will maintain adaptive lighting if you program/code. If you don't program/code the new light will auto level but adaptive lighting may not work.

If you have HID's, you cannot replace one side with halogens, while leaving the other side prodjector xenons. Not only would it look terrible, it just wouldn't work. You're gonna have to bite the bullet in this case, take it to your dealer, find out what parts you need, and go. Or find someone with knowledge here to consult with and order the parts, and do the repair yourself.

You can stay patient and find a housing (assembly minus electronics) for about $200-300 in good shape on eBay.

2 things about this route:

1) MAKE SURE all the electronics (adaptive, projectors, bulbs) work perfectly as signs of damage/tampering could be beyond the physical plastic

2) There is no guarantee you'll receive a working headlight from an eBay listing which claims it to be in perfect working order. No worries; you can always send it back in this case, even if the seller doesn't accept refunds (condition of the item is typically marked 'used', which by eBay's policy means it must function 100%).

Going aftermarket, halogen, etc. is really not recommended. Especially since the car has adaptive xenons from the factory.

So how do you guys upgrade these lights. Do you just take them out and send them away to get new angel eyes and everything else is still original? I'm guessing that all the 200-300 dollar headlight assemblys are for cars without xenon lights. Thanks again.

I was referring to a used headlight assembly (housing, no electronics) that is factory original to your car (xenon, adaptive).
