Does Meth go bad?
If it is kept in an airtight steel drum and out of the sun does it go bad?
Same goes for high octane race gas? I know fuel does go bad eventually, so if I have had it for 6 months in an airtight steel drum out of the sun light is it still good? Thanks

Should be fine in a sealed drum but its a gray area. Only way to know is to measure its weight ( see google for formulas). For purposes and intents we need for its fine. Use it!

Short answer for what we use it for is NO.
If it's kept in a sealed container it has a very very long shelf life. In the industrial/commercial chemical business it has been stored in sealed containers for 10 years and still tested good, i.e. met sales specs.

Good stuff. Just to confirm.....both race gas AND meth should both be good to go after 6-8 months if they were stored well for 1/4 and auto X?

Now, what about having a mix of meth in the windshield washer reservoir for say a month? I don't go through meth that often so it might be in there for a month or hell maybe two!

Methanol kept sealed will last for years and years and not go bad and needs zero added to it. The worst that will happen with pure methanol is that it will evaporate away.

Same thing with methanol + water - it will last for years and years if kept sealed. Again the worst that will happen is that it will evaporate away. Now if you have anything else in your ww mix besides methanol and pure water then it's a different story.
