just installed bmw PE
Is It Just Me Or Has Anyone Noticed Any Difference On The Exhaust,i Couldnt Tell Yhe Difference From My Stock?is It Bec Of The Afe Intake?do Ihave To Break Iy In For A While,had It Yesterday. I Have To Over Rev To Make It Purrr,or Im Just Used To Hearing The Intake,please Advise Any1....tnx

You would need to break it in to get a louder exhaust note. When I install Borla exhausts on start up after installation it is pretty quiet just a subtle change but a few days later it got louder.

Don't do clamps, weld on 100% seal. When I got my muffler delete done, it was loud enough to notice but you also need the car to warm up perfectly to hear good notes. Make sure you check the pipes to see that you didn't get ripped off as well

I hear mine no problem. Added the PE first, but have intake and tune as well. Decided to get the PE so I wouldn't have any warranty issues. All the other bits can come off if needed.
Pretty loud when the car first starts, but not obscene or tinny sounding when driving. If I shift at 3,000 rpm's it's not noisy, but if I reve up to 6,000 it has a nice throaty sound to it. I don't often go above 6,000 cause it seems like the power really drops off at high rpm's. |
