race fuel leaded vs unleaded
The only race fuel I have been able to find in my area seems to be leaded 112, is the only reason unlead is suggest is because of the cats, that is what i have read during searches, I am catless so if that is the only reason im not worried about it especially since it will be mixed down to 100 oct...if anyone knows where to get unleaded race fuel around louisville KY please let me know, I have been searching for weeks

Its true leaded fuel will brick your cats. But, I believe its unknown what the effects of running leaded fuel will have on our injectors, but i may be wrong about that

the fact that it may be a bit "thicker" is my concern with the injectors, no cats so no worries, just wondering if a mix of 112 and 93 10 gals of each would be safe

Just find some unleaded 100 or 104 octane and run that. You can run more aggressive tune settings on it and you dont have to worry about your o2 sensors/cats because its unleaded!

DYNOSTY in Lexington sells VP race gas.
http://www.dynosty.com/ You can ask for Hal. He's a really good tuner too. They have a 1500whp shop car that had the record for full trim 350z running somewhere in the 8's quartermile.

I ran 2 gallons of 110 leaded mixed with 4 gallons 100 unleaded a few days ago. I had done research on the ill-effects of leaded on cats, but I also have no cats. I also read up on the O2 sensor issues, but what I found basically said that a few gallons won't destroy the O2's. Well, car ran terrific, no O2 codes yet, but just 2 gallons left a silver "lead" coating on my exhaust tips. Pretty thick also. I think that's the last time I'll do that......

Why not just run VP MS109. Unleaded and I think it's around 105-106 octane. Seems like a win all the way around if you can get it in your area. I still have a drum in the garage right next to my m1.

Some states seem to have easier access to race gas than others. I think the intention of the OP is to see if there were alternative fuels that he could use to make more power based on what is available in his area. Luckily, I can buy 100 unleaded and 110 leaded @the pump at one place here in Phoenix. A lot of race shops in the valley only sell by the drum, which is extremely expensive!!

SCORE!! Yes, finding a station that has 100 unleaded or better at the pump is a definite win in my book, but is much easier said than done!! I get mine from a LOVE's truck stop which is a good 20 miles from where I live, but well worth the drive. The performance increase on an FOB + tuned car is extremely addictive!! I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive!! May I ask what the are charging per gallon where your at?? Here in Phoenix, it 7.99 a gallon. Ouch!!!

I pay about $7.50 a gallon, but its 20 miles away. I used to have a station down the sreet, but turned into a Mobile and no more racing fuel.

IIRC, Shiv posted that in a pinch you could mix it 50/50 with leaded gas once in a while without incident. For basic common practice, that probably isn't something you want to do a lot.

Not disagreeing, but the OP said there weren't ample places to buy unleaded race fuel nearby. FWIW, I've done it but wouldn't want to do it again. I did it accidentally when I used the wrong fuel cans at the track. Luckily I didn't do any damage, but it did leave a really funky film over the back of my car.
