'07 E90 Sport. Is it just my imagination? (no singing, please)

Hi!

I picked up my '07 Sport last week and I may be delusional, but it seems to me that this car's suspension is not as "sporty" as my previous '00's. The car doesn't seem to corner quite as tightly as the previous one.

The sport package cost me $3,900 in '00 and $1,500 this year, so I'm thinking that maybe BMW is selling Sport "Lite" packages instead of the real McCoy.

Any thoughts?

I assume you got a 323i w/ Sport Package which costs $1,500, whereas the 328i Sport Package costs $2,800.

I willing to bet that the suspension is likely the same between the cars...the price difference accounts for the difference in wheels. Interestingly, the 335i Sport package costs $2,500.

Cornering ability may account for the fact that E90 is a bigger/heavier car with small run flat tires which don't have much grip.

Yup. I got the 323i with the Sport (and Premium) package. I wonder if my '00 had bigger wheels..... That could be the difference. Also I was comparing brand new tires to worn-in ones. I'll wait a few more weeks and express a (hopefully) more informed opinion.

i find the sedan with smaller rims handles better than my coupe with 19 rft

gotta change those but PS2 tire = $ waiting on dollar to be par with U.S. than tire rack

It could very well be the Runflats on the E90...

Even though I went up 2 sizes in wheels (16 to 18), the ride is still the same in fact, i feel that it drives better than before, but it feels slower because of the larger wheels.

335i sedan comes with sports steering wheel standard already...
328i sedan does not come with sports steering wheel standard...

328i coupe comes with sports suspension standard. and i feel it is great on conerning.
