MP3: What are you listening to?

Ah, the wonder of an MP3 CD... I have a CD that stays in my player all the time that contains EVERY Led Zeppelin song. So my choices are always: FM, Sirius, iPod or Zeppelin!

Ha ha! That's funny. I think I have that same exact mp3 cd full of zeppelin tunes. I just .mp3-ed the entire complete recordings box set and plopped them on to a CD-R. That boxed set is the best thing that ever happened!!! :rocks:

Yes lets live in the now were the "popular" music no longer has any soul

Sorry had to say that. Everybody has a right to listen to whatever they want... Just not in MY car.

How about a CD full of Pink Floyd, everything they have recorded in the last 30 years. :rocks:

Well, I wasn't really looking for a review of my taste in music... but since you did...

First off, every other band mentioned here is also on my favorite listening list. Pink Floyd is another of my all time favorites, and Depeche Mode is my own personal Jesus...

I also enjoy modern music, when those very rare tracks come along that don't suck. I am old enough to remember when you could buy and album and listen to it and enjoy it all the way through. Today, you get the one catchy hit tune with the obvious hook or gutiar riff and the rest of it is shit. Oh goody... another band that sounds just like Pearl Jam or Green Day.. whoopie.

I'm not going to bash anyone's taste in music because it certainly is individual taste, enjoy your Brittany Spears. There is no other rock band that can hold a candle to Zeppelin. Actually, if talent and quality were the real determining factors, I think the band Live would be at the tippy top.

I haven't heard Live in a long time. I have Throwing Copper, but haven't heard anything new from them lately (except that dolphins song, but I kind of blew that off).

But that's odd that you brought them up. Of course, maybe you're right. Live's music is pretty different than anyone else's, and they do have a great sound.

But even if a band sucks, I think as long as they're original and creative, they'll at least go down as being influential.

Look at the Beatles. Except for a few die-hards, some might say all they're older stuff is "oldies" crap. Even some of their newer Abby Road/White/ect. material might even sound dated to newer generations.

But just look at their influence! There are still bands that want to be just like the Beatles...including my "band"

I'm just climbing a stairway to heaven listening to the lovely harmonics of my E90's inline 6.
