Hello,
I have a JB 335 with only slight micro-scratching that can be seen only in Sunlight that I would like to eliminate. Car has never been Polished before. I am a First time Detailor. I'm going to get a PC 7424XP from Amazon for $118. delivered. --What Pads and/or equipment do I need to get?? the PC 7424xp only includes a 6 in backing plate?? I would like to go with the 5.5 inch pads.--Where to buy them?? Thanks in Advance!! |

www.detailedimage.com Great products and discounts.
Lake Country Orange white and Black Pads with menzerna polish are very popular. |

To remove those slight micro-scratches I'd recommend a two step polishing process. The Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound M105 with an orange or cyan pad would be great followed by the Meguiar's Ultra Finishing Polish M205 applied with a white or tangerine pad. We stock the Lake Country 5.5" pads and we have package deals on them here Lake Country 5.5" Lake Country Pad Kit - 7x Pads (select any 7x pads you would like by adding a comment in the comment field while checking out). I usually get at least two pads per coat of polish so for example I would get at least two orange and two white pads. If you apply a sealant or wax afterward I generally use a blue pad. Best of all we have $4.99 s/h all month and several other promotions going on to help you save big! If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

i would stick with the 6-inch backing... most people actually go up from the 5.5 to the 6.
how old is the car? if its never been polished have you ever gone over it with a clay bar? that might be step 2 for you (after a nice wash). when in doubt i reference this forum and detailedimage's guides on their site. incredibly thorough and informative. |
