Glad to hear the SONAX Wheel Cleaner Full Effect is working so well for you, it's really an impressive product, especially considering it's pH neutral. It's a must have product for any BMW owner imo.

I agree! I see so many nice BMW's with filthy rims, and it makes me want to buy the 5L and donate some to strangers! I have yet to need Sonax or P21S on my wife's Infiniti.

I love Sonax!! No other wheel cleaner has been able to do what Sonax does and at the same time be safe for the wheels

quick question: do you guys agitate the wheel at all with a brush or do you just let it work and spray off?

depends on the amount of contaminates i guess?

I don't agitate, just wash off. Then I wash the wheels with a MF mitt. Figure it is better not rub all that brake dust around on the clear coat.

sonax did a poor job of cleaning my inner barrels without agitation. inner barrels had been cleaned a month before, too.

if i'm agitating, any car wash soap will do.

for me, sonax is a waste of $.

Luis, how do you get the barrels so clean. Even with sonax + EZ detailing brush mine never look that clean...

I use the same EZ detailing brush that I bought from Detailed Image to agitate the brake dust while Sonax is doing it thing. It works great for me. I also use a towel with car wash soap to wipe off any remaining brake dust from the wheels.

If the wheels are really bad I'll do another pass of Sonax to remove any remaining brake dust.

To a degree, I'm inclined to agree. IF you're gonna use a wheel cleaner this is pretty much the best I've ever seen, but if you're at all picky, you have to use ALOT of it to even come close to cleaning the wheel completely. I just used it tonight on my wife's X5's 20's. They collect dust like no other car I've ever seen. To completely clean it, barrels and all I'd have to use 1/3-1/2 the bottle. At $16 a bottle that's nuts. I probably used 1/4 on all 4 wheels but still had to use a separate bucket with mf cloth on each wheel afterwards. I've never used it on my car.

If you wheels are filthy it's a great way to get a lot of the heavy lifting done for you but if you think you don't have to touch the wheels if you use this, your standards for what a clean wheel is are pretty low!

yeah, the stuff is expensive. i don't know if it is because it's the only product on the market that does this kind of "spray on, rinse off" cleaning, or because it actually does contain expensive chemicals. either way, you have to use A LOT of this stuff to clean all four wheels "decently", and you have to actually agitate to clean all four wheels "well".

maybe at $4 a bottle this would be more worthwhile other than the "cool" factor of seeing it turn colors.

sorry if i sound bitter. i just hate seeing people buy products that are borderline pissing money away

can't say it's that great. still requires a lot of agitation for me, plus you gotta use a ton of it. for the price it's over hyped a bit
