Turns out I have been stock and didn't realize it

So in the spring, had my car in for injector recall and software, car previously had Giac Stage 1 on it. I figured might as well get the latest code as GIAC bases off that, so you get any fixes in the base code then update that version with the GIAC version.

They updated everything in the car except the DME would not take, they tried a bunch of times, so I told them not to worry about it.

All this was just after I got the car out for the summer, so I had not driven it in a few months, but the car feels a bit slower than I thought it used to be, blame it on the summer heat and as the summer goes by decide I am almost off warranty and it is time for Stage 2. I order up the intercooler and downpipes and get ready to get a Stage 2 upgrade.

Low and behold, I come to find out that the BMW update may not have succeeded according to their computers, but the DME did get flashed, so I have been stock all along. Not only that, but the version that was flashed on the car was some shitty version that they updated after 2 weeks, so there is not a GIAC update to that version.

Going back to the dealer tomorrow and my tech says he will get the latest code on there one way or another and then I can finally get the car flashed to stage 2.

Should feel hella fast now that I have adjusted to stock for 5 months!

Guess I gotta take my butt dyno in for calibration also!

Wow. my car felt slow on 16.5 psi and meth and so i did some logs this am and bumped boost up to 17 psi and adjusted the traction control settings and just ripping 1st through 3rd gear (up to 100 mph) in mere seconds. Then, I map switched to the stock map and punched it i thought the car was in limp mode or something but nope...it was just stock. :0
