Car is acting funny??!!
I have a jb4 tune installed with catless dp's and naturally with catless dp's there is a yellow "check engine" light that is displayed on the dash board. When this code would come on, every couple weeks or so I would just erase it via the properties of the jb4. However, ever since I took in my car to the dealer I've been getting multiple "check engine light" codes throughout the day and I am constantly erasing them. Is my car trying to tell me there is an issue, such as hpfp deterioration, other than the normal dp CEL code thrown?
It is starting to get colder here in socal. We are nearing the winter months, and I heard longer cranks are expected during these times. But, for there to be multiple "check engine" lights thrown throughout the day is ridiculous. What could be the cause of this? Also, if my car displays "check engine" light and I don't take out my jb4 will the techs be able to find the jb4? The reason I ask is becasue last time I came in with the jb4 in tact on map 0, and I had no problems. Thanks! |

If you are throwing codes there is a problem. The JB4 via can clear automatically deletes any tune related codes. If any other codes appear there is a problem.
Take out the Jb4 and go to the dealer. |

You can read the codes with the JB4, either via the USB cable/computer or you can get the JB4 to read out the codes via the instrument panel. The first step is to read the codes so we know what the problem is.

has it been acting up since the install or just recently.. per your wording it seems to be just recently.. any chance you didn't secure your 02 sensors well enough or that they and or the bung are stripped?

if you do end up needing to stop by the dealer definitely take the jb4 out.. its just silly not to. while they don't necessarily go out of their way to check for them.. if there is any reason that they need to check the area.. you won't be a happy camper.
