E90 vs F30 Residual (Do I save $$$ by leasing now?)
Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and to BMW. I'm looking to lease a 335i sometime between 1 to 7 months from now and I'm trying to figure out if it's worth waiting to lease the next generation f30 3 series. My original plan was to wait for the new model, but the dealer brought up the fact that the incentives currently offered on the automatic 335i sedan ($750 + $1310) will not be available when the new ones come out. That makes sense. They also said that I should expect to see a lower residual on the new model because the BMW will have less motivation to try and push them out the door. Does this sound accurate to you guys? If they drop the residual a few points on the new model, I'll probably just lease one now because I'd be looking at a savings of $4k+ over the course of a 36 month lease. If anyone could give their opinion on what will happen with the new residuals it would be greatly appreciated. If I save over $3k by getting the current model, I'm going to sign the papers either tonight or tomorrow and do ED on the soonest date available. Thank you! |
