Buying used 07 or 08 E92, DIFFERENCES HELP?

Hey guys it looks like going with an 07 or 08 E90 looks to be the best buy price wise. I could get one for about 22K-30K depending on a lot of factors. 09's jump up to 34K+ and with all the mods I plan on doing, I'm not looking to pay that much.
I know that there are different programers out there that specify if it's an 07 N54 and I'm not sure why. Is there an advantage to getting an 08? or 09? engine wise? I know that some come with the oil cooler with the manual tranny which I'm defiantly getting.
I know all about the HPFP problems and not to buy a lemon. Any other issues or look outs that I should be aware of??? 2009 any better???

engine wise '08 and '09 are the same twin turbo and all those good stuff unless you want to step in a '11

09's have a much better nav system and the sedans received a pretty big refresh. Engine wise though they're all the same.

Ok cool! What about 07's??? There must be some difference due to the Cobb programmer specifying if you have an 07 or not?
