No they won't...however I seen a few of them have foam tubes sitiched inside of the car cover at the center height of the door, it runs between the front wheels and the back wheels.

I bought the OEM one 8 months ago. I use it quiet often. It is true that dust could pass through but the most of it doesn't. If you tight correctly the car cover then you don't have to worry about the wind. I would definetely recommend it (not matter how it costs). By the way my car's color is Black Saphire (ALL the scratches are TOO visible). There is no issue with scratching from cover's interior.

car cover scratches

Never had scratches as an issue when I used a car cover on my black Z3 for 7 years. The only issue I had with the car cover was getting dust/rain spots that would show up when I removed the cover. Just know that a car cover doesn't keep the car perfectly clean and the car cover itself becomes a bit of a dirt trap itself (yes I did wash the cover. Note: The covers are huge so you probably need to take it to a laundrymat and use industrial sized machines. At least, that's what I did.)

Recommendation: I would get one. Good to keep off bird markings, sap, and other annoyances.

Like many others said... if you don't know what you are doing you can cause a lot more harm.....

-Your car must be extremly clean beofre putting the cover on
-The cover has to be extremely clean before putting it on....
-You have to brush and clean the cover BEFORE taking it off of your car......as you are folding it the dirt outside of it will get to the other side.....
-If you cover a dirty car, or a clean car with dirty cover....all the dirt will have a sand paper affect.....

I cover mine with a dust cover when it is parked in the garage as it sits over long periods of time....

If you are worried about hail damage & etc..... car cover won't help you much IMO.

The car cover will give very little door nick protection. The best thing is to put this type of guard (or similar) on first, then put the cover on over it.

I've heard good and bad about car covers. I normally park my car in an underground parking garage at my apartment and, on the rare days that I drive to work, I park in the open. The problem is that my car is exposed to some extreme heat, over 41 degree C when outside and exposed to dust. I get tired of washing the car three or four times a week. I also found what appears to be some bird crap problems after only two days. Is it worth a cover or not in this scenario?

Improper car covers can destroy paint, the interior surface has to be non abrasive and the cover itself needs to fit properly. OEM is probably a safe choice.

+1 OEMs cover I find is a safe choice, however over time it needs to be wash, to keep it dustfree.

OEM covers are always nice but meant more for indoor use as opposed to outdoor.
