From being on the forums for quite some time, there are some sick stereo setups that people have done on these cars but they are few and far between.

I do not know the core reason to why people don't invest the money in stereo systems. It could be the complexity of BMW's systems but again, I just threw this idea out of a snip-it I read the other day.

In addition, CT is not full of heavily modded e9x's therefore your pretty much looking for a needle in a haystack right now. Sorry bud, but if I do see someone from CT that has one I will have him PM you.

only stereo mod i have is a single 12 in my trunk. everything else is stock but it sounds really good

I would love a single 12 in my trunk. Is the box sealed, single dual ported? What kinda amp are you using?

the box is sealed, it was a cheap put together yourself ported box i bought from best buy for like 25$. i'm not sure what kind of amp it is, its a kenwood i think. but it sounds really good.

no need to spend massive amounts of money on stereo equipment unless you're some kind of connoisseur with an ear for the finest

Thanks... I am interested in hearing a system that has a MS-8 and the upgraded 8" woofers... I will drive about 2 hours....so pretty much northern Jersey or South Mass...

Thats plentiful, if you have the logic 7 speaker setup, there is no need for a speaker upgrade just buy the sub/amp. The car sounds flawless stock anyways. I got some of my friends who rock JL W7s in the car, and it pumps.
