First Post and lease deal question

ive been lurking around here for a while and finally bit the bullet on a 328 coupe today. June end production, delivery by august. So my question is, is this a good lease deal ? (sorry if ive posted this in the wrong section)

328i coupe
black sapphire metallic on black leatherette (grey popular trim)
heated seats
hd radio
sport package
manual tranny..

msrp 38550
sold for - 37550
total cash down - $1000 (including first months payment)
rate - .00165
residual .54
12k miles per year
acq fee - 825.00
govt fees - 224
taxes - 1877
residual - 20817
42 month lease

monthly payment 557.00 (including taxes)

Also, according to the dealer, the parking mirror tilt feature is standard even without the power seats. Is this true ? apparently they started doing this with the e90's.

According to the leaseguide.com calculator, you should be paying about 469 per month, NOT including taxes.
MSRP38550
Base Cap Cost 37550
Cap Cost reduction 1000
Adjusted Cap cost 36550
Residual Value 20817
Money Factor .00165 (3.69%)
Term 42 months.

Are you being taxed 11%? (1877/16733)?
The 469 payment doesn't include the taxes, or any of the fees, assuming you are paying those upfront.

The only thing I can comment on is that you can probably get the money factor down a little. I was able to get 3% even. .69% may not sound like much, but it would be about $20 per month savings (*42 and now it looks like a good chunk of change to the tune of $840)

I think you also need the power seats to have the mirror tilt down. That's what I have read at least in the brochures.

thanks.. yeah i think im going to add the power seats.

We are in MD where you are taxed 5% upfront but on the entire value of the car, so 1877 is right. and actually my $1000 down includes the first months payment (that's the walkout $$). The monthly includes taxes, tags, and other fees.

I could go calculate your lease for you, but someone else already did. Recommend you take advantage of the ton's of factual information on this forum and Bimmerfest, and learn everything you need to know about leasing. My lease numbers were screwed up initially, then unscrewed, then screwed up again when I sat down to sign the papers. The dealer continued to raise the MF above what we had negotiated. But since I knew how to calculate the lease and what all of the terms meant, I knew to the penny what my payment should be.
I have never bought or leased a car where the numbers were totally clean in the "finance persons" office on the first pass; always a "mistake" for some amount.
Get informed and don't get screwed. If you have to ask people on a forum if you are getting a good lease deal, you are probably not ready to lease.
