Btw, just a little heads up about the 2008 335, there was a problem with the air bag deploying while the car was in motion. The problem seemed to occur only when driving over 65 mph. So keep it slow and you should be alright. Good Luck!
Note taken....

Anyways I am currently looking into Intakes, the Jb4 system, Wheels and drop. Hopefully there is plenty of insight here. I seem to still have faith, even though I was blasted by trolls from the get go haha.

Don't do an intake. Get a Procede. Call it a day. Drop leads to annoying suspension problems. Intake leads to annoying oil/code problems. JB4 is cheap ass garbage marketed as a legitimate product. I had everything done to the car that you could have done. I didn't regret it at the time but my circumstances were "special". This car likes to have little problems that the dealer would rather not fix for free so they like to blame any aftermarket part you have on the car.

Wheels are fine just don't do 20's. Otherwise, enjoy the car. The tune will make it the fastest car you have probably driven.

^ not going to argue procede vs jb but i had no problems with my jb. do get an intake; just spend $100 and get the DCI. all other intakes are just overpriced and have little to no performance difference. tune is still arguably the best mod you can do no matter what brand you buy.

I traded my boosted Rx8 for the bimmer. It was making 412 hp to the rear wheels. Ran Mid 11s in the 1/4 mile. It was a swift little toy of mine!
Currently dont have a warranty on My car witch is fine by me cause I typically do all my own maintenance, and it typically sits in my garage. Ill look into the Procede! as for the drop I was thinking more along the lines of coilovers more than springs, Why would you not do a intake? I hear that the N54 runs really hot as is... But I suppose I could be doing research on a different board right now to answer my own question.

Thanks for the upfront suggestions!

I answered your question assuming you were like 99.9% of every other poster. If you have run an aftermarket turbo kit on an Rx8 you are much different than the average poster. Yes, an intake is extremely important for higher out put. The first bottleneck when trying to produce HP is the intakes inability to transfer enough air to keep up with the engines demands. Simple DCI works as well as any high priced intake.

Look towards doing turbo back... the sound is very pleasing and the throttle response is greatly enhanced by the downpipes. A simple catback is nice, but if you are interested in getting the most out of your car do the whole system or go with a set of DPs that connect to your stock exhaust (many people have done this and it actually sounded pretty good with the secondary cats and stock resonators).

Cooling... OIL COOLER!!!!!! Since you have an XI. You never got that extra oil cooler that the sport package RWD dudes got. Sooooo, if you are gonna push this car consider one. Also, one of my favorite purchases was my FMIC.. Really gave the car the ability to breath MUCH more at the top of the RPM band. Where the car used to die around 6300... it now pulled pretty hard until redline. Not to mention, the car held it's temperature down allowing me to run it at the track for longer periods of time (more runs).
The one option I wish I had when I was running my car was Meth. Meth has become a really affordable and easy to use option for 335 tuners. This is a great way to keep you from having to run out and get that high test all the time. Look into it, definitely worth it imho.

Everything else can be gleaned from the F/I section above. I am really outdated having gotten rid of my 335 2 years ago.. and sold off all my parts a year or so before that.

Some old pics... =(

I miss it a lot... =(

this. i was thinking about mentioning the oil cooler but wasn't sure if xi had it or not. also, you can always go meth before IC since you're just supercooling with meth.

meth was one mod i wanted but didn't do. this is how people break 400whp with stock turbos. read up on it, some really creative ideas like making your windshield wiper fluid reservoir for your methanol instead.

Ah this is making more sense to me now. Thanks.
I was to the understanding that the stock box was basically horrible (as heard from a Friend), witch is why I mentioned it in the first place. This is why i joined! Helpful minds all in one place! I am looking forward to learning more from you guys here!

Its what allowed me to do whatever I wanted to my car and not have ton worry about installation costs or maintenance if something broke. I made that asshole thousands of dollars. He worked on my car for free and slid my car through BMW service whenever it needed something.

But, welcome. Enjoy the car and this forum. It's full of douches - but once in a while -you pic up some meaningful knowledge.
