Exclamation JL Audio powered subwoofer

JL Audio Powerwedge MAX powered subwoofer
10" driver
4ohm
175W RMS
sounds damn tight, sealed enclosure
18.75" width X12.5" height x11.5" depth at bottom and 7.375" on top
it's covered in grey carpet which looks very similar to the OEM grey
manual
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/18099.pdf
MSRP $300
asking $200 for locals

i had this mounted in my M3 firing through the ski hatch
sounds really good, and doesn't take up too much trunk space

Thanks,

Thanks,
install was easy
power and ground from battery
remote cable and input from the OEM amp

no screws
i used a patented pending system of elastic cords
here is a top seceret photo for your eyes only :
i wanted something that was easy to remove if i needed the fold the rear seats.
i have the plug i used for the power and ground
so you can disconnect them easily
i can include that

It looks like you change your system a lot! Are you just getting a new sub? When you say it was going through the ski hatch, are you saying that you left that open?

getting a new car

no
all i did was remove the ski bag cartridge
but had the arm rest closed
so nothing is visible inside he car
but you really feel the bass
and since it's a sealed enclosure
its damn tight bass

How much of a difference do you think removing the cartridge made?

a lot
keep in mind its 2 sides of plastic, with a ski bag inside
so a lot of sound absorption

i tried it with the cartridge and without
and it was very noticable
so i just took it out and kept it at home
it might make less difference if you have a 500-1000w watt amp
but i think that's a little excessive

I am guessing that you mounted the sub directly behind the skihatch facing the cabin. Do you think this work well being placed in the back corner of the trunk?

for the second question i think you need to speak to an audio installer
as i have no clue
i know how i mounted mine, and it sounded damn good
anything else is just me guessing

Also for anybody that does it, putting the armrest down while in the car will make a substantial difference. Hell I folded one of my rear seats down a few weeks ago transporting something and haven't put it back up yet because my single 10" sounds so great with the seat down. Our trunks are insulated damn well.

Yes, I know it's ghetto.
