Change OEM halogen to OEM projectors..

I have the opportunity to change my OEM halogens to OEM projectors... All brand new. Just don't know if they will work.... Will the projectors plug right in and work fine? Did not know if you stayed all OEM if it was just "plug & play". My cars a 2007 E90 328i. I plugged my halogen head lamps into my friends 06 with factory OEM projectors and they worked.. Assuming its the same way the other way around... Anyone know? Did not know if they would cause issues or throw a code later. Different wiring?
