Difficult time with wheel setup
Been wanting to post this for a while.
The setup is with BBS CH M3 fitment. Fronts: 19x8.5 ET 35 | 235/35/19 Rears: 19X10 ET 20 | 265/30/19 Running Michelin Pilot Super Sports (<100 miles on them). Previous to this setup I was on style 159's (squared) and RFTs and 19" CSL reps 235's all around. I know the difference is <1% but when driving the car I feel a lot of resistance. Worried about the transfer case. At about 60 mph I start to feel the car just being weighed down. It doesn't pull to the left or right it just seems the car doesn't coast at all. I also can feel it when accelerating. Overall the car just doesn't feel like everything is working fine. When I put the stock 17's on it doesn't feel the same way. I'm not sure if it's just a 'placebo effect' and I think something is wrong or if anyone else has had the same experience. I know 19's are going to slow a car down, especially on a 328. Been wanting to get these rims on for 6+ months now, don't know if I should just sell these. I've had them on twice already and in one instance had some sort of grinding noise but not sure if it was related directly to the wheel setup. Anyone here with the same setup? Don't want to sell these if they would work and I'm just too worried. Apologies for the long post. ![]() Here's two pics of when I did a test fit: ![]() ![]() |

first of all, looks great! sorry it's giving you trouble....this is AWD? As long as all the wheels are the same rollling sercomfrence, you should not have any problems, but I don't have any other suggestions....good luck?

wow, sercomfrence.....I was knocking back a couple last night....guess that's when I should use spellcheck LOLs... Anyways, This is the kind of issue I was avoiding when I went with the same size wheel/tires instead of a staggered setup, not that this is the issue for you, cause I don't have any idea what's going on for your ride (and I really wanted a staggered setup too) Sorry I couldn't be more help
