I think I'm in love....

With the new car

Really had doubts over our choice of Black on the outside and near enough White on the inside, but I'm so glad I didn't swap it round

I can't think of anything I don't like about this car! But give it time...

I spent Sunday doing my version of the dealers Seal & Protect, involving:

Outside:
PoorBoys Black Hole
Collinite 476s - only chance to apply one coat due to the damn dew point!
PoorBoys Wheel Sealent

Inside:
BMW Leather lotion
GTechniq L1 leather protect
BMW Upholstery and Carpet Impregnator

The results I think speak for themselves...

Thanks to all you guys who gave me advice (and continue to!) on the products to use on this one, the only one I would advise against using is Meguiars Leather Wipes - they leave the leather really shiny, not nice.

Beautiful car, that finish is like a mirror!

Maybe think about getting some sort of dressing on the wheel hubs before they start to rust as the 313's really show the hubs off.

That's the one thing I forgot to mention, I've painted the hubs with clear lacquer to protect them

The car looks fantastic. You are the Ying to my Yang.

What sort of clear lacquer did you use on the hubs?

GTechniq L1 leather protect looks very interesting. I've been looking for something to protect my new seats.

What colour is the leather? It's not cream beige because it has matching carpets, and door side trim, and centre console.

The only light coloured leather with that colour combination I know of, is individual merino leather - but it looks like Dakota. I'm puzzled.

Edit:
Ah-ha. Looked up the configurator. It's Oyster/black Dakota.

Love the interior, whatever it is, because it has the black carpets.

Cant stand the beige carpets, which is a shame because the beige leather isnt to bad.

My mate has a bodyshop and always gets me the best products, this is what I've used: http://www.u-pol.com/product-cat/118...clear-coat.htm

The 476s is mega, I'm VERY impressed with it, my mates are all going out and buying it since seeing the finish and water sheeting on mine!

Thanks everyone for the comments, I'm so pleased with this car, it makes me smile every time I peek out of the window at it, the wife is getting fed up of my obsession though
