Rial Salerno

The Rial website lists the Salerno as 34mm offset, TireRack has the 16" listed as 30mm. Has the wheel been updated or is one of the sites incorrect?

This wheel is a 30mm offset wheel.

First of all let me start by saying this is my first post and I am new here and looking to gain some knowledge and education

I was thinking about getting these as my winter setup from TireTrack,
For 328i xDrive 2009:

205/55R16 XL Continental ExtremeWinterContact
16x7 Rial Salerno Silver Painted
Offset: 30mm
Backspacing: 5.19"

I have talked to the dealer and they have scared the life out of me by saying that offset is wrong and it will do damage!
I am running the stock 16 inch that came with the car /RFT(not a fan of RFT BTW!) from what I understand stock Rim is Offset 34 mm.
I have no idea what is the Backspacing?
My question is can I get these Rimms? Are the break discs are going to fit? Is the Backspacing ok? Dealer was saying sharp turn the wheel will get stuck, is that correct?

And don’t give me flak for going with non performance winter tires; it gets really cold here and icy intersections all over the city!

Cheers

These fit the vehicle with no problem. The wheel won't 'get stuck' or any other such nonsense. Keep in mind that offset is measured in millimeters so there is a range of offsets that will fit a given vehicle due to clearance. This is a very popular winter wheel for this vehicle.

Hi all,

I recently bought a set of Rial Salernos and Cooper Weathermaster ST/2's off a forum member. However, he said that he had just used OEM BMW lugs with the wheel. I understand that Tirerack supposedly ships a set of lugs with the purchase that are 2mm longer than the OEM BMW lugs. Will using the OEM BMW lugs be okay? Or should I go a head and buy the Rial lugs? Hope someone can answer this, thanks!
