Looking to get 225/40's DWS for year round on all 4 tires, anybody have pictures of what it would look like in the back? should i consider getting spacers?

Rears will be tucked pretty good, spacers would help. You'll still not have the ideal contact patch on the rears for summer driving.

You could run that size. A 225 on an 8.5 isn't really considered 'stretched', but in comparison to an 8" wide wheel it will look a tad more stretched. 235 on the rear would make the sidewall sit a bit more flush with the face of the wheel.
