iPod hook up options
what are the iPod Hook up option for non USB car? I was told about DICE but the install price was $500
My question is how hard is it to install and a good place to buy from? Also, are there any other options |

Nobody replied to my post about Grom Audio's kit which offers USB and iPod connectivity:
I ended up ordering this kit on the weekend. The package should arrive up in Canada sometime next week. I don't have an iPod - but I assume that functionality will be the same - as demonstrated on the second video. Once I have it installed, I will test it out with a co-worker's iPod/iPhone and update my post with the results. |

you also have to wire it and install the proper aux/usb port in your console plus get coding. Did you get BMW assist in your car? What is your production month? |

I don't know.
What I would do for you is swap my BMW assist TCU for a Combox w Telematics. There are two forum members in the states that could help you with this. I would also keep checking ebay for a Combox (note, at present there is a TCU that is listed AS a COMBOX, it isn't. There is a closed listing from the last week of october that sold for 127.50, this is what you need. Good news is your vehicle has most of the wiring you need. PM forum member technic or contact alex@ info@bimmerretrofit.com; either vendor should be able to help you out. I don't know if you are limited in anyway by a 2006 production date, but they will. |
