TPMS not resetting :/

Hey guys,
I have searched for this; but my TPMS alert is still on

I recently installed aftermarket wheels;

From what I understand,
turn the car on and go to the car settings, and choose reset TPMS and drive off, as the message on iDrive suggests...it says "resetting" for quite a while

After a few miles; maybe about 10, an error pops up and says "inactive"..

I have tried this a couple of times, however after a a while it just comes up as "Inactive"

Can somebody please help me out?

Thanks,

This ^ 06-09 sensors are different than the 2010+

Also this happened to me, because I took off the runflats, and used one as a spare in the trunk. And It was picking up that tire in the trunk and was throwing off the computer. So I had to remove it to reset and then I put it back.

But keep trying, it will reset if theyre the correct sensors.

I had this exact same issue..TPMS Inactive...constantly appearing and then going away...You cannot reset or just "drive" and have it go away...if people dont know what they are talking about they should not offer advice..

Anyhoo..Codes from my BT tool...

604E:
Error: Tire Pressure Control-system
Error will cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed

6054:
Error: Wheel electronic FL
Error will cause a warning light

6057:

All the wheel sensors were new and correct so I know it couldnt be that all 4 sensors failed as the codes were telling me..logic told me it was the brain of the whole thing Code 604E..and I was right...ended up being the TPMS RDC control unit..$100 plugs in behind the carpet liner in the trunk near the battery

TPMS sensor frequencies changed with the 2010+ models. If your TPMS came off a 2007-2009 model, you need to buy new TPMS to match your 2011 model year.

Always good advice, but codes won't help him if he owns a 2011 and the sensors are from a 2007. In that case we know that the sensors won't work.

Funny to see this ..... last night my TPM prompted me to make ajustment to tire presure and then reset the TPM. No specific tire was pointed to of having the tire presure problem

This happened right after launching at a 1/4 mile track. I went into iDrive and selected reset as it was telling me to do.

Message staying on for like almost 15 minutes trying to reset TPM.

When I launched again on the track it then went away
