Can I install 2011 e90 tail lights on my 2006 e90?

I have a 2006 325i and I was wondering if I could, in any way, upgrade my tail lights to those of a 2011 3-series

In case you don't know what I mean.

I want to replace these:

with these:

Now I know they don't fit just like that but I read somewhere that I have to change my trunk or something.

Anyway if you have any idea I would appreciate it

You will need a new boot lid (trunk) and you may need a new Footwell module (FRM3 I believe?), some sort of AutoLogic coding, and a wiring harness. But yes, it's quite doable.
