Logic 7 HU fiber optic help
It looks like I am only getting a light from the fiber optic on one side of the back the HU. is this normal? I would think not since I am getting a sos error. However, this could be explained by the continuing fiber optic loop???
I have heard the SOS error is from not paying for the service, but I didn't have it until I installed an aftermarket. I suspect that the installer may have damaged the HU when he ran it to the rear, but I am not sure at this point. Any help would be appreciated. |

Yes. I think I have the connections right, now I am trying to determine if it is the HU or not. When the HU is under power, I only see one light lit from the fiber optic connections emanating from the back of the HU. So, if someone who has this run to their trunk can tell me if that is normal or not, I will be able to rule out the HU.

I'm pretty sure only 1 side is suppose to be lit. The unlit side is for the signal coming in.
Did the installer extend all the fiber optic cables to the trunk? It sounds like your MOST loop is broken. He may have either snapped a section of the cabling or didn't put it at the right angle. The cable can only bend so much before the transmission of light is affected. |
