My BMW Performance Electric Wheel!
Followed the DIY found here and it was actually a very simple install.
2 Hours at most if you're familiar with electronics and repinning connectors. Most time put into actually taking out my center console to tap the power into the cig lighter. All the normal DSC, DBC, Start off Assistance, and Cruise Control errors after plugging the car back together. Fixed with re-calibrating the Steering Angle Sensor. Got this for a steal and am loving the upgrade from my early production Sports Wheel (no thumb rests ). Nice and bulky and I personally love the old sports trim on it rather than the M trim. |

Nice wheel Grant, welcome to the club. To unified the overall steering wheel look, you may want to check out the suede trim cover piece.
I too had the warning lights and turn signal issues. But is well now. congratulations! |

New wheel looks great...but now you've got to match the shifter and ebrake with the performance alcantara versions |

Thanks guys!
Hesitant about the suede trim because I have a feeling it may get worn too fast with me Also may switch the suede on the wheel to leather somewhere down the line. But yours looks great Thumper! Yakev, some odd ball paddle shifter 07's did have thumb-rests. I've personally seen a couple that were there from factory. Either way problem solved now. And I would love the rest of the matching bits O HELLA BMW the new one is great but lights up white and blueish. It matches the M3s and newer bimmers but this version is the same orange as everything in the car so it flows so well. Thanks again for the kind words all! If you have the chance pick one up! And I can help with install questions too |

Gotta love the Performance wheel! Welcome to the club! The only thing that sux for me about this steering wheel is that the stealership charged me 3hrs for installation!

It is the BMW Genuine Titanium Steering Wheel Trim. It compliments the factory trimming! Thanks...
