So... It may be difficult to get a legitimate comparison test going... Because, to make a legitimate comparison, parameters would have to be as close to identical as possible, right? All on meth, none on meth. All on pump, none on pump. All FBO or not. Same place, same conditions, with as many factors logged as possible, whether or not all of the knowitalls deem that necessary or not. To make a legitimate comparison, with respect to anything (according to my naive understanding?) the test subjects can't be skewed and valuable test information can't be left out.

This isn't to say that shiv wanted to do this or not. Just take it for what it's worth, and be big boys/girls and decide on it's worth for yourself.

Because I'm sick and f****** tired of threads on this forum turning into a Britney spears concert, with an over-glorified center of attention, flamboyant background dancers and a bunch of hormonal people in the stands.

For hell's sake. I knew this was a lost cause from the moment someone decided to bully someone else into not saying another word.

Now let's all power trip some more.

Kthxbi

BTW, if that tailpipe sniffer is accurate, the owner of the Cobb car is running pig rich.

he is either running an external DP fix or one of his O2 sensors is kaput.

That wouldn't be motive related test.
A thread has to have a legitimate purpose to be derailed.... it has to have a subject which is different than the one the trolls are concerned with. But the commenters I am talking about have all been talking about the oiriginal results and their validity and etc. That to me isn't derailing... that's just discussion. You can go back yourself and see what happened. Some members became so concerned with jumping on other members that the questions raised never got answered... that and apparently we're all noobs because we use COBB and we think it's good to log things like ignition and timing

Wait until Hypertech and VersaTune catch up with the N54 tuning business. Their vast experience and knowledge in the industry will blow you all away! Better represent when the time comes...

I always heard that tail pipe sniffer is not as accurate as using a bung in the pipe.

I was there that day and also had my car dynoed. I dont know jack squat about tuning so dont ask me about the other cars because I have no clue on what kind of setup they had. Do what you want with the info I have no idea what it all means. I do know my graph didnt look as nice as everyone elses but I was the first automatic car to go and the operator kept hitting the kickdown and only managed to get 2 clean runs.

I have since changed out my plugs thinking the dip in the graph was due to that but I wont know for sure without going back to find out. Never had any misfire codes though, hidden or otherwise.

My Car
335
JB3 v1.3 (old I know)
Map 6
Stock everything else
91 octane with a few gallons of 100 mixed in on full tank

Yeah, it's impossible to give you any sort of advice about that dyno graph since the AFR is squished in and there's no datalog to go with the runs. Should've upgraded to JB3 2.0

A bung in the pipe is a lot more work than a sniffer

I still dont understand why everyone else is worried about 3 cars they dont own and the information they can provide for you.

You should be logging your own cars, and if need be getting your own dyno test done with your own 3rd party o2 sensor.

What are we all trying to gather from someone elses car anyway?

I guess I come from a background of worrying about my car first and how it runs and not someone elses in this case 3000 miles from me.

You cant learn much of anything from someone elses car if your car is not spitting out the exact same results with the exact same conditions.

All I did a dyno run a few weeks back with a exhaust bung welded in to get accurate AFR readings. Link listed below. And that thread has all the graphs you need.
