Question Synapse BOV question

Just installed the Syanpse BOV on the Stett Charge Pipe tpday so far so good. Took it out for a test drive and had a question to see if this is normal. Under hard acceleration it sounds good and pulls good. My problem or hopefully its normal is under very light accelation there is a perido where it sound like the BOV is stukc open and sound like whistling and will continue till I either press harder on the pedal or let off. Wanted to see if this was normal or what I should check to fix it if its not.

Thanks!

Under light throttle the BOV is partially open so it is blowing off a little, as soon as you put your foot down it should go away. My did the same when I had one, pretty sure it's normal.

Feels like its opening under partial throttle. Should I adjust the middle part on the back? Do I need to stiffen the spring? Any synapse owners have any thoughts?

DO NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO YOUR BOV! You need to PM the original owner and see if he made any adjustments. check out this thread.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. Hopefully he didn't sell me a broken part. Sent him a PM.

It is absolutely normal. Under partial throttle and engine load the bov stays open and makes a subtle whistle sound

Problem is its not subtle. I can hear it over the radio. I drove my buddies car with a synapse and was not making the same sounds. Going to try to put his on tomorrow to see if there is any difference.

It's normal. Pretty sure the stock BPV would sound the same if it was venting to the atmosphere

It's not normal. His car boggs down randomly when under WOT. I have the same BOV and I went for a ride in his car and it sounds like a air intake under WOT when cruising at low speeds and he doesnt even have a air intake installed. We took my car for a spin which have the same BOV and it was a night & day difference. BTW my Bov was purchased brand new and not used. FWIW.

I did use both ports a and b. car just feels like it lost a lot of power when I get on it. It loud as helr partial throttle all the way up the powerband. It will close up if I get on it and hold well. Going to mess around with it today and see what happens.

It has always been my question. Running one port reduces response or there is any significant benefit in power?
