Fun or Not???

I am thinking about doing this next year. They also said that they are extending it to 1.5 miles instead of 1 mile.

Heard they open up in April and on. Just the time I need to add a BMS SLD (may not even need it haha), Intercooler, and Downpipes. (Possibly upgraded turbos).

Looks pretty Fun. I can't think of an easier way to test out your top speed.

I've thought about doing this. There's a required investment in safety equipment as well. You will need a 3pt harness which is not cheap and I'm not sure where you affix without a roll cage. Perhaps others have done this and can chime in.

I remember reading about a supercharged e92 M3 that entered this (or perhaps similar) event. It was making well north of 600 hp and hit something like 175mph in the standing mile. A wild guess but a mild bolt on 335i (chip, fmic, dci, dp's) traping around 110 in the quarter mile might hit 140mph by the end of a full mile.

Even if you went fbo and meth, the n54 snails don't do well (above 5,000 rpm) in 2,700 ft elevation. Found this out looking at fbo n54 dyno's at elevation (Nevada) as well as from personal experience running at Willow Springs. This type of event is where upgraded turbo's would really shine.
