50k Mile last minute inspection/replacements

Ok, I'm about to start modding the ride starting with a JB4, and possibly a DP.

Since I'm approaching my 50k mile limit on the warranty, I wanted to see what last minute items I should have them inspect or replace.

So far I've had them replace the following in the past 1k miles:
HPFP
Plugs
Air filter
Cabin Filter
Brake Fluid

A few defect issues (switch, headlight, etc)
Brakes

Here are the areas I'm concerned about:Diff Fluid
Tran Fluid
Wipers (no joke, I need them done if they're free! )
Valve Cleaning or adjustment?
Rotors seem a bit chewed up on the front, although I have new pads...
Engine mounts

What items am I missing or what items have I listed that I should not care about? Thanks fellas!

Garage List
2008 BMW 335i  [5.76]
it would be nice if they would do all that:
Diff Fluid
Tran Fluid
Wipers (no joke, I need them done if they're free! )
Valve Cleaning or adjustment?
Rotors seem a bit chewed up on the front, although I have new pads...
Engine mounts
would they? i'm in the same situation, wondering how do you ask them to do it, or you jaust ask the SA to make sure its being done and give him a big tips?

The trans and diff fluids are "lifetime fluids". They won't touch them.

^ Good to know, thanks!

I'm trying to be as nit-picky as possible. I'm hoping to coast through another 20k miles without spending a dime on anything but gas, mods, and 1 oil change.

Ah yes, they won't touch the fluids and if you DIY, your transmission warranty is no longer valid. Have them measure the rotors. There's a certain thickness for them for a replacement.

Also, air filter, cabin filter, brake fluid top off, coolant flush, wipers. Get as much as the little things done cuz they do add up!

Good call, I'll have them look at it. Anthing I can check myself so I know they aren't bs'ing me when they say they are good? I'm hearing a faint rattle, but itit could be a number of things.

Coolant flush! That, I was missing...

I'm going in for the wipers, coolant flush, and to have them measure the rotors. I'm also going to put together a good pitch on why they should clean my valves

Yeah, just print out all the before cleaning photos here and say it hesitates during start up.

Exactly! They can scope it to confirm the valves are caked up as well right?

Nothing you can really do yourself, they somehow measure the play in the wastegate and it's a measurement in MM. If it's out of spec, the entire turbo assembly is replaced I see you have a 2008, so you may already have the updated Turbos, I have a 2007 and had the original units with the smaller diameter WasteGate actuating arms.

Good to know. I've heard a lot about the wastegate rattle, but never realized there was a part revision. I'll have them look at it still.

Thanks!

only other thing i can think of is the fuel injectors. there's an open recall for most n54's, they have to physically look at each injector part# to see if they're covered under the recall. my experience is that the dealership won't always offer to check the injectors unless prompted, so ask them to check those out

Is this a formal recall on 2007+ x35's?

Do these go out often? How should I contend it needs to be looked at or replaced?

Lifetime Fluid = 100,000 miles in BMW language

When I was at the dealer they said they could just run the fob and they would know if my year was within the range of vehicles affected. They said it wasn't and it should be fine, even though to me they seem noisy. (3/07 production date I believe)

I did not know that. Where can I check easily around the engine to see if it's leaking? I'm still trying to learn my way around it.
