The previous generation TV module (for the I-Bus cars ... E46, E53, E38, E39, etc) did have a auxiliary video and audio input to allow you to connect devices like iPod videos. The thing was, you had to buy an additional cable to take advantage of it and hook it into the TV module connector.

I'm not up to speed on the MOST based TV module, used on the new 3, 5, etc ... but if you can find the pin outs for the TV module, you may find BMW have provided Audio/Video inputs on certain pins.

What happens if you change the channel below Channel 1 on your TV module. On my I-Bus TV module, it changes to channel "AV" to select the audio/video input?
