According to Plasti Dip, the safe operating temperature is -30F to 200F. There IS insulation under the engine cover from the factory so we'll wait and see. I'll check back in a few days or weeks.

oh boy, i hope you crossed your fingers. i thought the paint could have a higher temp range, but at 200F, you know when the engine is totally warmed up, 245F oil temp being a normal temp, how hot you think the engine cover will be? just hope it won't make a mess IF it melts.

Looks good! I like the contrast. Question for you, how do you get that cover off of the engine? I need to locate an engine noise. I think its a hydrolic valve adjuster.

I think it will be fine. I can place my hand on my engine cover after a long drive. It shouldn't reach over 200F. With the car moving, the cover will stay relatively cool.

It looks to me like somebody stored a 5 gallon gas can in your engine, but A+ for creativity. Like the rest have said, I hope it holds up under heat
