Actually the transition looks good, almost like a short volocity stack. Nice smooth transition inside the pipe. Looking at pictures of the AR pipes, it looks like they also transition from 3" to 2.5" in the last 2" of the pipe.

So unless you have deep pockets and want to pay extra for a laser AR logo that is welded to the pipe... I think the VR's are a good deal for the $$$'s.

I'll have some install pics and dyno results Friday.

They all taper to 2.5 by the time they reach the stock cat back. You can't fit a true 3inch DP to a 2.5 exhaust otherwise you will have a leak. Any pipe claiming full 3inch is just playing with marketing.

The only true 3inch DP would need to mate with a true 3inch exhaust.

Our pipes are 3"

Thanks for the kind words and recommendations guys. Our design is 3" from the turbo flange up until about 2" from the exhaust flange. We also utilize smooth bends vs the sharp 90 degree bends the PLM's use.

That welded artificial dent will also hinder flow. Grinding/polishing welds isn't going to help durability/longevity either.

I will never understand why BMW owner's insist on putting cheap garbage on their car (Raceland / PLM's).
