catless ar downpipes

Installed my downpipes over the weekend, and its not throwing any CEL codes or anything. Could the sensor be broken?

Sometimes you need a couple of drive cycles.

I have a COBB AP, and thanks for the info guys! I will wait to see if the light comes on. I still have the BMS dp fix that I didn't put in, hopefully I won't have to?

If you have a Cobb AP on stage 2 maps there would be no reason to have a CEL because it is cleared automatically for catless dp as its a requirement to use stage 2 maps.

You do not need to use the BMS DP fix.

this brings up an interesting point- does the cobb "auto-clearing" allow readiness to be set? or does the cobb tune require a dpfix to pass emissions in states that just plug into the obdII port?

You're doing it wrong. You need to drive faster.

The Cobb will not allow the car to pass a readiness test. You will need a DP Fix

Correct, the DP fix brings the values back in line so the car still thinks the cat is present.

You really only need it for an emissions test. If you are running Stg2 maps, you will not get a light, but AFAIK a scan will still reveal codes for catalyst efficiency.

With very early BMW DME software sometimes it took up to 500 to get a light, so it really depends on driving style, DME software, etc.

If the sensor was broken you would get a different type of code

Also most tunes have an auto clear function so if you are running a tune and thats on that could also be a reason you are not seeing a code.
