Koni FSD's / Yellows and the N54 E93
You 335i E93 owners -- who's running Koni FSD's?
Now who's running aftermarket springs? No BMW Performance Yellow springs for the E93. Anyone running 'em anyway? How 'bout you Ground Control drivers: Is there an E93 running Street/School? Yup, I know they're Yellows, 'specially valved. Helloooooo, Capt'n....? |

Today my dealer's parts dept claimed E93 springs are the same as E90 & E92.
How 'bout you BMW techs - True? Shocks might be diff....sway bars def might be as torsional rigidity's diff.... but how much? E93 sways diff on M3. Hey. . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 12-19-2011 at 11:41 PM.. |

the springs cant be the same b/c as you know the e93 is 400lbs heavier then a e92 which means e93 spring weights should be alot different....someone correct me if im wrong

Evidently most of the top's mass is in the hydraulic drive - doesn't change position. Up/down impact on springs/shocks is minimal. But I asked my dealer 'cause I thought as you that springs would be diff due to weight. Still suspect so! Anyone give us a reference? Center of Grav was of course lower, top down, yielding noticeably better handling. I feel that! . Last edited by CALWATERBOY; 12-19-2011 at 11:52 PM.. |
