Curious to see how this could work on a non-idrive E90. With the heated seat buttons moved up to the climate control, would you just be left with a blank lower bar (which previously had the heated seat buttons)?

The other additional benefit is that with the new ALL feature, you can control both climate zones simultaneously from the driver side, if you so choose. |

Two questions:
1) Is this plug and play for pre-LCI iDrive cars with the button strip? I am thinking of replacing the button strip with this. 2) Even though there is no REST button, is the REST feature still accessible somehow? |

The two connectors on the back you mentioned are for the two Heated Seat buttons, yes? So then there's another connector for everything else?
Are the rings around the edge of the buttons a shiny or dull metal? The ones on my car are shiny. In a couple of the pics yours looks more like aluminum than chrome. Just want to be sure they'll match mine. David |

I paid ~ $200 for it. I searched ebay for it for a while. You may have better success searching for the 1-series climate controls as I think they're more prevalent and work the same way.
