sub caused gas door flap to break...TWICE. HELP!

I have had my 12'' kicker in my trunk for some time now and for the second time the gas tank part that clicks when you push it in to refuel has broke!! Im starting to think the bass is the reason for this, its not an expensive part its like 10 bucks but is there anything I can do to sound proof that side of the car to stop the damn gas tank door from flapping around?

You can probably just insolate that part of the trunk with some kind of vibration insulation called a damping pad... I had subs in my old car and they did the whole trunk with this insulation called "dynamat" that keeps everything from vibrating...that should work...

Search ebay for a dynamat trunk kit, it will save you a lot of money versus buying it @ retail.

quick question actually, once its on is it hard to take off? it says self adhesive so I'm assuming that it will take some of the felt with it when i remove it in 2 years but this stuff looks like it will work
