Does 09 e92 support 3.0 usb drives
WIll be purchasing 64gb patriot usb drive soon and they have "supersonic" 3.0 version that just came out, so just seeing if e92 supports USB 3.0 and will it be beneficial?
Thanks . |

I think you answered you own question ("supersonic" 3.0 version that just came out) and you own a car that was built at least 3 years ago. That said, if the drive is usb 2.0 backwards capatible, it should. But who knows until you try - because it just came out.

You won't reap the benefits of USB 3.0 speeds in your car, however, if you have a computer with a USB 3.0 port, you will certainly see much, much faster read/write times to the drive--i.e. much quicker syncing. Like the guy above me said, the drive is backwards compatible, so it will work in your car--just limited to USB 2.0 speeds.

Alright thats what I thought, thanks for reaffirming.
While we are on the subject, what is the drive with the best read rate out there, I think Im set on Patriot Xporter magnum or Patriot Xporter XT, any other suggestions? Thanks |
