This is the first time I have to take care service myself since my maintenance warranty expired. The yellow triangle service light is on and I've scrolled through all the items. Here is what I have:
- car on the lift - 12/2011
- brake fluid change - 02/2012
- cabin filter - 40000, 02/2012
- oil change - 17000, 08/2012
- front brake pads - 4300 miles
- rear brake pads - 33000 miles
- spark plugs - 70000 miles

So.....I'm quite confused what I really need. Is it warning me about brake fluid change 2 months in advance??!?

Since the spark plug reading is 70k, you apparently have 30,000 miles on your car and are due for the 30k Inspection (see your Warranty Service Manual). It includes a number of visual and functional checks as well as a road test. Unfortunately, the owner's manual is vague about the icon.

I'd schedule it in Feb. when you have the brake fluid & cabin filter changed.

Alright thanks a lot. I'll probably reset the thing and do the brake fluid change in February.

Don't you say in your post that something is due 12/11.....specifically the car on the lift. I had the same service indicator symbol come due this month, along with my spark plugs being due. The car on the lift if probably the emissions test due, which my dealer told me they don't do here in Oregon, so they just reset that indicator and took care of my other service.
