New M3

I was talking to my BMW salesman last night. He said the Australian wait list for the new M3 is into 2009!!!

Also, he said he knew someone else from a BMW forum who drives a black 335i coupe with lowered suspension. Is that someone here?

It's just salesman BS, like the so called 6month wait some dealers are sprouting for 335i's when there is a dozen dealers with cars on the lot they will sell at a 5-10% discount to RRP.

std dealer bs. just trying to scaremonger gullible people into putting money down now, or paying top price for a car that isnt exactly rare.

take for example the audi rs4, they have already discounted the limited edition convertible by $20k at bill buckle. and there r only 26 of them

It appears to depend on which dealer you go to... I spoke to my local dealer (Newcastle) and they told me the new M3 is available for sale from October. He mentioned they already have 2 ordered which will be here after October... He said that at some dealerships the waiting list will push delivery times into 2009 (given that they only receive 1 per month). He warned that after the car arrives, and people can actually see/feel/hear/smell it, the order lists will grow and delivery times will push out.

klosters bmw have always been great to me. its worth the drive to newcastle to pick up a car if the waiting lists r too long in sydney
