100k mile service
So I am coming up on 100k. I have a few things planned out for service. The Bentley manual says just plugs and transmission fluid. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to do the filter for the transmission (yes I know I will be buying a new pan to get the filter), differential fluid, oxygen sensor, and coolant.
So I guess mainly would I be wasting my time and money doing the other items I was thinking of doing? Also if there are other things you guys may have done when you hit 100k or that anyone can think of I should do can I get some suggestions as well? thanks in advance for the input. |

I would do everything listed here that hasn't been done in the last interval of recommended miles.
http://www.bavauto.com/Assets/inst_pages/e90mc.pdf I would especially go after the water pump. From what I hear, there's little to no warning when it fails, just some shadow codes. |

My car just hit 75k and i have no idea what has been done o it maintenance wise as i did not get the full service records. I want to change a few things now, what would you guys say are the 3-4 MOST urgent things that i should change? Im thinking tranny fluid, diff fluid, & spark plugs?

Isn't the fuel filter non replaceable? Damn I didn't expect to do coolant hoses and water pump. Haha I guess I will go through with all that. Any other suggestions?
Also how do you drain all Yeh tranny fluid? So that means even the torque converter. Last edited by berserkerx; 01-02-2012 at 01:30 AM.. |
