connecting ipod in e92 question...
ok so I connected ipod to aux out and it works, but I can only change songs from my ipod... i can't change songs on the center console or on the wheel, anyone know how to fix that ?

wellllll... the aux jack is meant to only transmit stereo audio.
I don't believe this question is a joke, even though common knowledge would tell you that you cant control an ipod through the headphone jack. You need to have the iPod option (6FL) installed on your car. then you would have a usb hookup to sync the iPod with your car, and thus be able to control it through the car controls

Do you have the 6FL option w/ USB or just the standard audio mini jack? If you have the 6FL you need to use the 6FL cable (should have rec'd at delivery). If you just have the standard audio mini jack then there is no way to control the iPod via the car's controls. You would have to get the dealer option iPod kit. (The 6FL is a factory only option).

6FL is factory installed only so it doesn't come into the picture. There is a different dealer installed option that emulates the CD changer and puts the iPod connector in the glovebox.

Yeah Dealer installed iPod connection isn't as slick as the now available OEM, but I find that it works just great!
