Bubble in tyre
Hi guys, I noticed a bubble in my left rear Michelin Pilot PS2. I don't recall hitting the kerb et al but could have been the twisties on our drive day though they should have handled those. So went to the tyre shop and they recommended a Hanook 19" for $225 since that Michelin tyre is not available in Australia. Did contact Tyrerack and they said that tyre has been discontinued. All tyres have full thread so replacing all would be a waste.Any suggestions about who else I could contact online for old stocks of that tyre? Alternatively, any other non runflat brand I could use besides Hanook? The PS2"s were a very comfy ride.

That sucks man! I had the same thing on a PS2 from sitting in the garage too long, no pothole either. They're such a good tyre though, maybe some Brisbane or Adelaide shops have one in stock, otherwise you'll have to replace both rears?

Thanks, any email contacts of those Bris/Adelaide shops? The tyre guy here said the Hanook has the same thread style as the PS2 so is fine to replace just one. I too haven't been using the car much of late so maybe that explains it.

I haven't, other than retailers like beaurepairs, etc. Go figure, I usually use Taleb in sydney, maybe try them? Ebay is also worth a shot occasionally.
I know in QLD your rears both need to match, same with fronts. It would handle like poo with different tyres on the rear; bit surprised the tyre shop even recommended it |

Taleb doesn't have them, neither does jaxquikfit. Checking with Jax, seems the rule in NSW is that the fronts need to be same and rears can be different, strange
