Air filter 2008 330i M Sport (272bhp petrol).
Good morning and happy new year from this new member.
I have recently bought the above car for my wife and having driven it for a couple of weeks, she has passed comment as to how "quiet" it sounds compared to her previous E46 330M. We drove down to Edinburgh yesterday and I have to agree that the car certainly is quieter (better engineered in my opinion) but the question is; can anyone here give an informed opinion as to whether we should change air filter / exhaust back box, or simply leave an outstandingly well engineered car as standard? Also any pro or cons with potentially changing these parts and will that give the "old E46 sound" that the other half seems to miss so much. Thank you in advance for any help or advice that may be forthcoming. Colin. |
