Help setting up bluetooth

Greetings, i am trying to set up my iphone 4 with my 2006 330i (premium package included) which did NOT come with telephone instructions. When sitting in my car, my phone found "headset" using bluetooth however when i try to "pair" it with the car it told me i was not successful, and to make sure that the "headset" device is ready to be paired. I can not figure out how to do this as i don't have the instructions and can't seem to find them online. I have never tried to set something like this up before. Few questions...

A) Will i be able to talk hands free in my car?
B) Will i be able to answer calls with the little button on my steering wheel?

Thanks in advance.

This is the manual

If there is no telephone Icon in the device menu you don't have bluetooth.

If you have it the device should come up as "BMW 12345" where the numbers are the last five digits of your VIN. "headset" sounds like a separate device you have with you.

Did you try the Menu button

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=567012

If you don't have the picture of the phone shown on the display after
pressing the menu button either you don't have it or it's not enabled
or broken.
