powdercoating oem wheels
just curious. lots of curbing from the previous owner. wondering if i powdercoated them, would i need to get them refinished first? or would the powdercoating process fill in the curbing?

Smoothing out the rash first would be a must for a good looking finished product. If you left the area uneven/raw the powder coat would adhere to the metal exactly as it sits. So you'd have a very smooth coat over most of the wheel and then it would look rough and jagged around the curbed area. Powder coating will not fill in the curbing.
