Ya I guess I'm not getting what you're saying....I have the Mtech bumper with 3000K HIDs and with the headlights off, the fogs look pretty clear cut as to what part of the road they're illuminating....

Maybe you're talking about the stock bumper like Jeff's from TGS, like the pictures he posted?

I only just put them in after getting the Mtech (E90, I knew it was a different bulb which is why I waited till I got the body kit). I've turned them on in my parking garage and immediately noticed the fogs bouncing all over, even more obvious when I pulled up to the wall and they were shooting beyond the actual low beams. Can't imagine why we'd be seeing different results. I don't deny it illuminates the road like crazy, it just illuminates everything else, too.

Ya I'm not sure why either lol.....So you're running the Mtec HID kit(3000k) with the Mtech bumper, and the fogs bounce all over the place?

Because that's what I'm running, and like I said, it illuminates 45 degrees to the side of the front bumper, and it doesn't get above the middle of my bumper in the front.....

What bounces all over the place are the cheap halogen wanna be HID bulbs that you can get for 50 bucks a pair, lol.

Oh no, I have a matching set of HPB 6000k. I got their D1S replacement and the 9006 canbus kit. Maybe it's the bulb or the color that's the difference.

Oh ya, that's why....I thought you're running the Mtec HID kit. Change to the Mtec HIDs and I guarantee that you'll not be saying that anymore, lol.

HIDs FTW!

Looks like HID is the only solution for matching. Yellow if I want them to work, lmao.

If you want yellow fog lights go with halogen because they produce a nice warm
yellow in adition with the HID with produce a greenish yellow.

I needed some contrast between my OSS/ D1S combo, cornering lights, and my fogs, and my fogs were just for looks. The mtec Cosmo blue 4750k H3s and H8s were a cool white for me, with just a touch of teal, nowhere near the 4300k kelvin. Maybe your set is defective?

Also I don't think anyone will ever match the fogs to OSS perfectly, not even the D1S xenons.

OSS's diamond white LED hue is nearly impossible to match with a halogen/ HID solution IMO, I think they are somewhere between 6700k and 6000k actually. Luis, can you chime in here?
I came pretty darn close to matching my OSS!
Nice bro..what did you go with again?

Very well, thank you. Still disappointed that you "decontented" the car, but understand your thought process very well. I'm focusing more on unseen things like M3 suspension, versus appearance. I might sell the F1 fogs so I can use the money for that type of mod.
Yea I hear you bud, just not sure where I'll be come August. Got a wedding and a house down the road this year- playing it safe. Funny how fast life can change...

Hey man, give the mtec's some time to "break in".

When I first put them in to match my OSS I was like WTF? This sucks just as bad as the other 10 options I tried.

But after about a month, the colour TOTALLY CHANGED! They actually match pretty decently right now they are just a bit weak in the output though.

I've tried every option and they are the best match so far. None of the HID options matched any better either.
